Testimonials of the new ielted dummy test from a few former test takers
A new test is being rolled out by the NSW government that aims to make it easier for people with serious illnesses to get a second opinion about their diagnosis.
The new iELTS dummy test is a simple, inexpensive way to get more accurate results.
“You can have the best quality of life in the world, but when you don’t have a second eye, you don,t have a real, valid diagnosis, you know,” NSW Health Minister Michael O’Brien said on Wednesday.
The dummy test can cost $25 and takes 15 minutes to complete.
“So if you’re not able to see your GP, or the nurse, or whatever the other person might have said to you, you can take the iELTs dummy test,” Mr O’Brian said.
In a recent study, more than 60 per cent of the patients with serious mental health conditions said they were unable to access a second doctor visit after the first one.
But with the dummy test in place, more people can get a third or even a fourth opinion, the NSW Health Department said.
“It means there’s less waiting around for someone else,” Mr Broome said.
